## Mission

Circulera builds a production platform for single-use packaging made from PHA: material, finished products and end-of-life routes that reduce dependence on permanent plastic and costly PLA infrastructure.

The mission is to make single-use packaging ecological through the material itself. Sustainability should not rely only on high price, perfect sorting and permanent public OPEX.

Single-use packaging should be affordable for business, clear for people, less costly for governments and safer for nature when ideal sorting fails.

## What we do

### Material

PHA is produced by bacteria in bioreactors as a biological carbon reserve. Circulera works with strains, formulations and downstream processes to lower material cost and make PHA useful for mass SUP categories.

### Products

We look at the market through replacement categories, not only resin: bags, films, cups, containers, bottles, labels, coatings and selected medical-grade formats.

### End-of-life

The key question for packaging is what happens after use. PHA allows products to be designed for organic routes: compost, digesters, soil and other bioactive environments, when the specific formulation, thickness and operator route are validated.

## Why it matters

Conventional plastic is cheap to buy but expensive in consequences. PLA looks cleaner, but often requires separate collection, industrial composting, a long cycle and user discipline.

Circulera builds a different approach: the material should take on more of the end-of-life work, so sustainability is not held together only by expensive infrastructure.

## R&D and scale-up

Early production decisions are checked on a test bioreactor: culture behaviour, fermentation modes, polymer yield and repeatability. The next layer is industrial fermentation logic: bioreactor modules, recovery, QA, formulations, product testing and partner end-of-life routes.

## Principles

1. Material honesty: do not promise that everything degrades everywhere and always; validate product, formulation and route.
2. System economics: count sorting, logistics, compost, landfill and brand risk, not only cup price.
3. Industrial mindset: scale production, QA, formulations and offtake.
4. Partnership model: work with manufacturers, brands, governments and infrastructure operators.
5. Public clarity: explain biotechnology in language an investor, waste operator, brand and journalist can use.
